Testing this out

For those who saw my old site, they may ask why I am using WordPress to build this new site. The answer is that WordPress is extremely powerful and can do a lot. I don’t have to worry about doing extra coding down the line if I want to add more advanced things, the site probably looks better to sighted people than if I would have done it with plain HTML and CSS, and even though it isn’t perfect, the WordPress block editor is usable with a screen reader. As an example of my first point, as soon as I have a reason to do so, I am going to get the account system running on the site, which will allow for a lot of cool things in the future.

If you have been exploring this site, you may have seen that it has some rough edges. For example, the blog page needs some work, I need to add a few more pages, and there are more things I should probably work on before fully advertising the site. People may ask why I am not keeping it private, and the answer is because I want at least a few people to try the site out. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with having it public and letting people look around. So, if anyone finds bugs, send them to me and I will look into them.
